(Photos) Nigeria IDP Relief Materials Sold Off In Cotonou, Benin Republic Markets

The rate at which corruption is growing in Nigeria is alarming. It has undoubtedly rendered so many people heartless.
An eye witness who resides in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic exclusively sent pictures of relief materials which is supposed to be for Internally Displaced People (IDP) Nigeria being sold in the markets.

The relief materials that are expected to be given out free of charge to these under privileged in the society is constantly reported to be diverted and sold off.

One of such material, a packaged mosquito net that was provided by USAID, with a bold inscription of "Not for retail sale" is on display in this neighboring country by the road side in their major markets like PK10 in Cotonou, being sold in broad day light at 2,000 cfa (1500 naira only).
Some weeks ago, Dates, a popular fruit, that was given to Nigeria by the Saudi Arabian government to be shared freely for fasting Muslims found it's was into Abuja markets for sale.
"The price and quality is better compared to what is commonly sold here in Cotonue" says a man who just bought one from a woman.

The seller who declined to mention her name, claimed a man usually bring it for them from nigeria at an affordable rate but, that they don't know if it was for IDP or not.

It could be recalled that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo cried out days ago that 70% of relive
materials were diverted from the camps by some heartless cabals who are bent in making life unbearable for the IDP in the country.
